The format for citing translated articles in footnotes:
First Reference1 Author’s First Name and Last Name, “Title of Article”, trans. First Name and Surname of Translator, Name of Journal Volume Number/Issue Number (Month and Year): Page Number.
Subsequent References2 Author’s Last Name, “Title of Article”, Page Number.

Examples:

  • Josef Van Ess, “Mu‘tezile: İslâm’ın Akılcı Yorumu-1”, trans. Veysel Kanar, Harran University Faculty of Divinity Journal 20 (2008): 296.
  • Ess, “Mu‘tezile: İslâm’ın Akılcı Yorumu-1”, 296.
The format for citing translated articles in bibliography:
Bibliography Author’s Last Name, First Name.  “Title of Article”. Trans. Translator. Name of Journal Volume Number/Issue Number (Month and Year): Page Range. (If available) https://doi.org/ XXXXXXXXXX.

Examples:
