6. Writing of Author Names

In writing Arabic and Persian author names in Turkish in first reference the TDV Encyclopaedia of Islam should be observed. Example: “Fahreddin er-Râzî” and “İmâmü’l-Haremeyn el-Cüveynî”. In subsequent references, the famous name should be preferred: Râzî, Cüveynî.

The dates of death of persons who died before the 20th century should be stated where they first appear in the text as “(death. as Hijri/Common Era)”: Abū Isḥāq Ibrāhīm al-Ṣaffār al-Bukhārī (death. 534/1139).

“Hyphen/Hyphen mark (-)” shoud be added between author names, leaving spaces before and after.

Example: Bekir Topaloğlu – İlyas Çelebi
